Q. Servilius Caepio, 100 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 4.00 g, 8 h), with Calpurnius Piso Caesoninus, Rome. PISO CAEPIO Q Laureate and bearded head of Saturn to right; behind, harpa; to upper left, crescent. Rev. AD•FRV•EMV / EX•S•C Two male figures seated on subsellium looking toward each other; on either side, grain ear. Babelon (Calpurnia) 5 and (Servilia) 12. Crawford 330/1b. RBW 1189 var. (differing symbol). Sydenham 603a. Nicely toned. Small banker's mark on the obverse and with some scratches on the reverse, otherwise, nearly very fine.

From the Joseph Markowitz Collection (1897-1981), brought to Israel in 1949 and kept in the family ever since.
